ROMEL Collantes and Edelaine Hayco were united in the sacrament of matrimony on a beautiful Sunday in May at the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. They had the full blessings of their respective parents, Ruperto Chua Collantes and Melania Si Collantes; and Edward Lim Hayco and Eleanor Ong Hayco.
The wedding reception at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel was definitely one for the books. The place was transformed into a medieval castle ala Game of Thrones as envisioned by the young couple who spent time watching the TV series during their courtship years.
Guests were treated to a royal wedding feast and right afterward, the drama began. Romel and Edelaine were perfect in their roles as prince and princess crowned by their parents in the “House of Collantes.” The story revolved around the abduction of the princess by savages who wanted to take over the kingdom but the prince rescued her after a thrilling pursuit highlighted by a wondrous dance of war and love (thanks to choreographer Victor Cuenco and Loloi Rendon with the Dancesport team).
The wedding festivities featured an indoor fireworks display and ended with the couple and their guests dancing the night away.
