PRO 7, agencies map out measures for Asean meeting

POLICE, military and other government agencies held an inter-agency meeting yesterday for their security preparations for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) meetings in Cebu City next month.

Chief Supt. Noli Taliño, Police Regional Office 7 director, said that 300 delegates are expected to attend the senior officials’ meetings in the first week of July.

Taliño said that they have not decided to ask the telecommunication companies to jam the cell phone signal, but they are considering to do it as part of their security strategies.
