Father's Day: What to get for the man

HAPPY Father's day to all the dads out there and also to the single moms!

I'll make this quick and easy for you. These are what I think would be a good "care package" for your dad. It doesn't have to be given out just on Father's Day. In fact, every day should be Father's Day if you ask me.

So here goes.

First. A multitool. Every dad should have a multitool in their pocket or in their everyday bag or in the car. Sure, it's like a Swiss knife but it's way better if you ask me. There are a lot of good brand names out there that sell multitools. Gerber is one. Why a multitool? Because we all know that dads are always handy with a lot of things. They can fix up your car all the way down to fixing up a broken dollhouse. Arm him with a multitool.

Second. Flashlights. Yes, those tubular things that has a powerful light fixture on one end. Get him a military-grade flashlight that has a high lumens rating so it can pierce through the darkness while he looks for you when you're lost. Also, make sure you get those that use LED for their light heads. They last longer and they consume lesser amount of power from the batteries. I recommend looking up Surefire as a starting point. Let's face it. There have been times that you're stuck somewhere at night with a car that won't start and you don't know what to do. Your dad needs that flashlight so he can see what's wrong under the hood of your car.

Third. A portable speaker and a Spotify Premium subscription. Music is a must. I'm certain that during your dad's bagito days, he had his own preference for music. And most likely, he still listens to those till now. Get him a small but powerful Bluetooth speaker so he can reminisce his youthful energy. Handing him the keys to the T.A.R.D.I.S. is an impossibility so this will be a better alternative. He might even have a story or two for you while he listens to his fave tracks. Those JBL and Marshall brands ones are worth checking out.

So there you have it. Just three things. It's not much but I feel that every dad will truly appreciate any (or all) of the three. Of course, don't forget to give a hug and tell him that you love him. Because, hey, he's the one man and friend we can always count on to be there for us.

Happy Father's day!
