THE Davao del Norte (DavNor) Provincial Government set activities for the province’s 50th founding anniversary, which will be on July 1.

The activities aimed to highlight the place’s rich history, culture and resources.

Here are the schedule of activities:

On Wednesday, June 21, Davao Aguilas versus Meralco Game (tentative) will showcase basketball battle inside Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex Grounds.

On Friday, June 23, activates such as, Kadagayaan Festival, Opening of Kadagayaan Agri-Aqua Fair, Opening of One Davao del Norte Tourism Fair, Opening of Tiangge Stalls, Agri-Hataw Sayaw (Modern Dance Contest), Opening Salvo (Nightly Activities) will transpire.

On Saturday, June 24, people will be entertaines with events like Tour of DavNor's Banner Destinations, Musa Man TriDavNor (Triathlon), Governor's Night (Carbo-Loading Dinner), Nightly Activities featuring Kadagayaan Banner, Performance Showcase-Festivals of DavNor (Selection of entries for the Hudyaka 2017).

Inter-Clergy National Tournament, Mag-AgriTayo with Ruben Gonzaga, Nightly Activities Featuring Kadagayaan Fashion will take place on Monday, June 26.

A DavNor Dog Show and Nightly Activities is set on Tuesday, June 27.

On Wednesday, June 28, people are invited to watch Davao Aguilas versus Global Cebu and Bb. DavNor Coronation Night at Activity Area.

On Thursday, June 29, farmers will showcase their talents in Farmers’ Day Fun Day (Farmers Got Talent, Cooking Contest, Swine Catching, Corn Eating Contest, Bamboo Pole Climbing Relay, Flower Arrangement Contest, Sekwate Drinking, Grafting and Pinaka Contest).

On Friday, June 30, Gawad Pasasalamat 2017/ awarding ceremony and nightly activities are set.

On Saturday, July 1, the anniversary celebration will kick off with Diana and an Alay DavNor Walk. It will be followed with Hudyaka, a street dancing grand showdown, a Thanksgiving Mass and an anniversary program proper. Awarding of Gawad Saka Awardee and DavNor Singkwenta Variety Show will also be staged.

The golden celebration will be capped with an aesthetic fireworks display and Kadagayaan Wet and Wild Party. (ASP)
