TWO armed men onboard a motorcycle reportedly fired at the Talisay City Jail in Barangay Maghaway at midnight last Sunday.
The two men were passing by the jail when they pulled out their guns and fired at the gate. They fled towards Barangay Linao.
No one was hurt during the incident. Police recovered 14 empty shells of a KG-9 and a caliber .45 pistol in the area.
Jail warden Supt. Gil Inopia believed that the incident was perpetrated by illegal drug pushers whose operations were affected by the greyhound operations conducted inside the facility.
