JEFFREY Rivera sank 10 points of his total 14 markers in the opening quarter to give Chromic a 91-76 win over Rotary in the ongoing D-League 1st Conference Invitational at STI-West Negros University gym in Bacolod City.
Mao Benedicto fired 12 points as Jorge de los Reyes and Yok Santander added 10 points each. Mark Palada has eight points and the rest of 37 points coming from Micheal Sian, Tisoy Dreyfus, Hanzel Estelloso, Chaf Butiong, Mico Celis, Romar Villarosa, Carmelo Alimon, Jun Palo and Van Rodriguez.
Jay Agulan has 17 points for Rotary and Micheal Ang added 13. Bolbol Romello and Christian Castro shot 11 points each while Mark Cueva nailed 10. Garret Tabanao, Celhem Uy, and Wilford Sy combined for 13 points in a losing effort.
In the other match, Luigi Herrera fueled SKF with 20 points with six treys. Johnson Armas shot 16 points; Alex Lopez, 12; Andre Ortega, 11; Wawa Armas, 9; Jaypee Publico, 7; and Kevin Armas, Don Cerna, Patrick Lizares, Doime Publico and PX Tonogbanua combined for 13 points.
Mark Yee paced Boston Finance with 16 points as Gilbert Sy and Christopher Ong added 10 points each. Ralph Ong and Jason Yap scored nine and right points, respectively. Anthony Tajonera, Glen Ortaliz, Chua, Jack Chan, and Archie Mijares shared 20 points.
Organizer Robert Zuñiga said the basketball tournament intends to provide avenue for non-varsity players to compete and experience highly competitive basketball every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
