Employment office holds 2-day jobs fair

THE two-day Dia de Zamboanga (Charter Day of Zamboanga) jobs fair reeled off Tuesday, February 27 offering almost 7,000 job vacancies for placements locally and abroad.

The Public Employment Service Office (Peso) said in a statement Tuesday that the first day of the Jobs Fair is at the Philippine Red Cross Training Center in Pettit Barracks 27 while the second day, February 28, will be at the east wing of the KCC mall.

There are be more than 20 local companies and nine overseas agencies that looking to fill up the 6,930 vacancies.

Of this total, 1,095 are vacancies with local companies while 5,835 are vacancies with overseas agencies.

The jobs fair is intended for high school graduates, college graduates of any course, skills training graduates of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) and other categories with ages 18 years old and above.

The jobs fair will also be a venue for the registration of interested applicants for the Skills Training Program Scholarship (STPS) of Tesda.
