Police invite 'persons of interest' in Bulacan massacre case

SEVERAL persons of interest in the killing of five family members in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan last Tuesday were invited for questioning, police said Wednesday.

Superintendent Fitz Macariola, San Jose Del Monte police chief, said the invited individuals were mostly neighbors of the family or those who have had access to family's residence.

Last Tuesday morning, Dexter Carlos Sr. found his mother-in-law Auring Dizon, his wife Estrella, and his children Donny, Ella and Dexter lifeless with stab wounds in different areas of their house.

Macariola said there were signs that Auring and Estrella were sexually abused by their attackers.

Carlos, who works as a night shift security guard, said he suspects that the person behind the killing is someone they know, and the motive could be rape, citing that none of their valuables went missing.

Meanwhile, San Jose Del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes has offered P100,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the suspects. (SunStar Philippines)
