Summit records 8th straight victory in Fil-Sino Class B

SUMMIT is still undefeated as it notches its eighth straight win, beating Cobra, 96-79 while Absolute improved its quarterfinal chance with a victory over Nestea, 83-73 in Class B of the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Cup at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School covered court.

Summit outscored Cobra at half, 52-41 behind Jeffrey Espuerta’s 11 points as Marc Lo hit 10 and Jappy Cuaycong delivered seven points. Brix Arrobang and Nico Yap made 14 and 12 points for Cobra.

Cris Pascua scored 12 points and Mark Yee added eight points as Summit extended their lead to 78-62 going into the final period while Bobil Alagaban dropped eight points for Cobra.

Pascua topscored for Summit with 16 points as Lo and Efraim Valencia delivered 12 markers apiece.

Arrobang had a game-high 18 points as Jeremy Coo added 17 while Yap drilled 14 and Alagaban with 10 points.

In the curtain raiser, Ramon Khey sizzled with 28 points for Absolute as Dayven Dreyfus added 18 points while Mar Macainan shot 12 points.

Harry Siendo shone for Nestea with 21 points as Rey Pandoro added 17 markers. (HGD)
