P10M for Kabankalan airport terminal 'enough'

KABANKALAN City Mayor Isidro Zayco said the P10-million fund provided by Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri was "good enough" to start the construction of the airport terminal in their city.

He said they will use the funds to construct the airport terminal. "That is already a good start. We can ask for more from Senator Zubiri if we find it necessary. The airport construction in Kabankalan City is being done in phases, using City Government funds."

It has been a long dream of Kabankalanons to have their own airport to invite more tourists and even investors to come to their city or utilize the place as a jump-off to visit several beautiful tourist destinations that are located in the sixth district.

Zubiri was in Bacolod City over the weekend. He promised to give P150 million for the construction of the iconic Bacolod City Museum of Arts and Culture center.
