AN ACTIVE police officer assigned in the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) and his three cohorts were caught in a drug bust in Barangay Tuyan, Naga City, Cebu, past 5 a.m. Thursday, June 29.
Police Officer 2 Ronjie Nadorra, 37, yielded several packs of white crystals believed to be shabu to the operatives from Police Regional Office-Central Visayas and Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).
His arrest came almost a year after he was caught inside a drug den in Toledo City.
Nadorra and another police officer assigned in Toledo City Police Station allegedly recycled and repacked the shabu seized from arrested pushers.
Superintendent Joie Yape Jr., the CPPO-Provincial Intelligence Branch chief, said Nadorra is a high-level target.
"Nalipay gyod dako ang mga lumulopyo diri sa Barangay Tuyan nga na-nuetralize na siya," he said.
Receipts of Nadorra's transactions were also recovered from his possession.
Yape said Nadorra's alleged cohorts Glenn Sasan, 43; Clester Requiriso, 36; and Russel Juarez, 26, helped the police officer in selling "shabu."
The suspects denied their involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Nadorra was formerly assigned in Naga City Police Station.
He was transferred last year to Bogo City Police Station as a member of its Special Weapons and Tactics.
On July 9, 2016, Nadorra was caught inside the drug den of suspected pusher Neil Enriquez in Toledo City.
Enriquez and two others were arrested with Nadorra.
Nadorra was subjected to a drug test, but he tested negative of drug use.
He was charged with criminal and administrative complaints. He was relieved from his post and transferred to RPHAU pending investigation on his alleged involvement in the drug trade. (KAL)
