THE reel is on for the Silver Edition of the annual search for the Lin-ay sang Negros 2018!

The province of Negros Occidental led by Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., Pana-ad Festival executive director Ma. Lina Sanogal, the Team Acids which handles the production of the Lin-ay sang Negros beauty pageant under the baton of pageant director Rodney Ascalon, held the press presentation Saturday at Robinsons Place City Walk in Bacolod City.

The 27 gorgeous ladies electrified the catwalk during the first level of the competition, the search for the Muse of the Press and Best in Talent.

For more than two hours, the 27 candidates competed for the said special award, and two luckiest ladies were named Muse of the Press which goes to Lin-ay sang Kabankalan Gheneza Marie Mueller and Lin-ay sang Sagay Daireen Mae Dagatan as Best in Talent.

Mueller showed confidence, spontaneity, and wit in answering the question.

She was if she will be a tourist guide, where will she bring the tourists? She was quick to say that it will be in Kabankalan City.

“Our city is known as the rising city in the South. Our tagline is: ‘Life is more fun in Kabankalan.’ If I will be given the chance to bring a couple of tourists in my city, I will bring them to our city museum, which will show them Kabakalanon’s diversity of cultures, our history, our festivals and reflection of our true beauty which is our people,” she said.

Dagatan, on the other hand, showed her dance prowess by performing a contemporary dance that depicted Sagay’s love for the ocean and its dedication to preserving marine life.

Both winners are 18 years old, or debutants.
