DAVAO City is buzzing with new sorts of dining experience but only a few offer an all-in-one package for both hungry and thirsty customers.

Seated in a maze-like Obrero, The Racks Garden Bar and Grill serves as an oasis to folks in search of good food.

From what was then just a bar for night parties and chill sessions, this spot was reinvented since March 11 to cater the needs of its increasing customers, and is now serving as one of the city’s budding restaurants elevating Davao’s thriving food scene.

Here’s a list of reasons why dining at The Racks Garden Bar and Grill is and will always be a good choice.

All-day indulgence

No, it’s not a convenience store that serves 24/7 but it’s a restaurant where one can dine all their meals and drinks for a day.

It has all-day servings of good food and drinks from breakfast to lunch to merienda to dinner and even until night drinks prepared by well-experienced chefs and cooks at a very affordable price. Food comes in sharing and value meals.

“All are basically here (The Racks Garden Bar and Grill), we offer nothing but good food and drinks. One can actually have his/her meals for a day here and have some night drinks to cap the day with a band entertainment,” Jay-al Llamas, owner of the restaurant said.

The restaurant’s food menu widely covers Western, Italian, Filipino, and Asian cuisines.

Seafood fiesta

If you are a seafood lover, you might want to consider The Racks Garden Bar and Grill and end up finding yourself as a frequent visitor to this place.

What’s interesting about this restaurant is it offers seafood buffet of lobster and curacha, the first to introduce of this kind in the metro.

“We usually serve a la carte for our seafood but sometimes we also do buffet. We did it during our grand opening last March 11 and had another one because of strong public demand on April 7,” Marynhor Salangsang, co-owner of the restaurant shared.

All its seafood offerings are worth a try.

Drinks and spirits

May it be TGIFs or even everyday booze nights, the restaurant’s bar component, Dark Bar Racks, is always a good spot for long and deep talks and chill outs with friends.

It serves perfectly-mixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It also has common videoke for everyone who wants to sing their hearts out.

Some of its featured drinks are cucumber slush, racks garden, tornado, and triple X. Pinoy’s classic halo-halo in a glass and smoothies are also available.

“After dining, customers can enjoy our drinks to cap their nights the right way,” Llamas said.

A for ambiance

What is a restaurant without a cool and relaxing ambience? The Racks Garden Bar and Grill gives its diners the “feels” needed to enjoy the food and drinks.

With its garden-like ambience and interiors with artistic approach, it is always a good stay here.

“We chose to make it appear like a garden because of its relaxing effect, also we put a twist by adding wall paintings to make it appear more appealing and colorful, it’s really perfect for our diners’ Instagram feeds,” Salangsang added.

Friendly staff

Of course, good food, ambience and interiors are useless if the customer service is terrible. Good thing, this restaurant paid much attention in training their staffs.

With the restaurant, all its 42 staffs working in shift are well-trained. The owners really made sure that its people are friendly, approachable and attentive to all its customers’ needs.

“Our commitment is to provide quality food, place and service to our customers,” Llamas emphasized.

The Racks Garden Bar and Grill is located at Bricklane Compound, Palma Gil Street, corner Gomez St., Obrero, Davao City. It is open from 6:30 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily.
