THE Office of the City Agriculture, Mabalacat City has its schedule for June full of activities including meetings in various disciplines like the Gender and Development, organic agriculture meeting and CAFC meeting. The office, headed by Lou Balatibat always participates in the Barangay Day assemblies of Mayor Boking Morales, offering assistance to farmers, including anti-rabies vaccination to home pets.
It is in constant dialogue with the City's farmers and offer tips to those desiring to increase their harvests or yield. It has also submitted projects under the Bottom Up Budgeting such as shallow tube wells, farm machineries and goat-raising projects which funds are already available. Lou is actively assisted by Mario Canlas, Elizabeth Reyes, Fortunato de Leon Dante Rivera, Maricar Guina, Remedis Magtubo, Juliet Acosta, Noel Christian Pineda, Alex Layson, Maricel Corpuz, Winnie Mones, Dennis Sison, Abram Noelle Balatibat, Erwin Teodoro Dennis Macabitas, Ronalyn Gutierrez, Reuel Mallari, Rodante Manliclic, Jr., Elvis Castro and Raul Tibucal.

I'd like to extend my congratulations to Dante Rivera, Agriculturist I of the Office of the City Agriculture, Mabalacat City, for passing the Agriculture Board Examination given last year. He could be ripe for promotion as Agriculturist II, no doubt. Congrats, insan.

The Mabalacat City Water District's chairmanship is a thorny issue. Chairman Deng Pangilinan was reportedly reelected by the directors themselves with Atty. Pepito Torres as his opponent. There begun the protest and the issue of rightfully will seat as chairman of the water facility has become muddled with the alleged intervention of the influential religious group to which the lawyer belongs. The issue has
reached Mayor Boking Morales who has the prerogative to appoint members of the Board of the Mabalacat City Water District. Lately, I received a text message from an unnamed sender and he/she voice out his/her objection to Atty. Torres' assuming the office of the Chairman of the Board. The unnamed SMS sender claimed to be a member of the powerful
INC bloc. Well...
