Robbie’s Deli in A Hurry: PH’ first ‘Food from the Wall’

TIRED of your usual fast-food? Always in a hurry? Look no further because Robbie’s Deli in a Hurry, the country’s first ever vending machine wall with a kitchen, is finally here.

Conceptualized and operated by RDF Feed, Livestock and Foods Inc., the leading fresh meats manufacturer based in Pampanga, Robbie’s Deli in a Hurry offers diners a fun and innovative dining experience as it features an impressive automated food wall that serves freshly-prepared hot meals in a jiffy.

During the venture’s official launching held last Friday, owner and RDF chief executive officer Robert Lo shared that Robbie’s Deli in a Hurry aims to provide tasty and healthy food at a much faster and convenient pace, and which can be bought and served in a fun and novel way.

He tells that he realized the potential of the vending machine wall food service, to suit the busy lifestyle of the diners, particularly working professionals in the Philippines.

“We at RDF understand the need of dining customers to have access to good food at the shortest amount of time, and without the long, slow-moving queues. With Robbie’s Deli in a Hurry, customers can enjoy high quality food that is fast and affordable,” he said.

Ordering food from the wall takes three easy steps. A diner has to buy tokens at the store that he can use on the vending machines. Each token is equivalent to P25 each. After getting the tokens, the customer can choose from the glass compartment or shelf of his chosen meal.

There are three types of meal variants available at Robbie’s: On-the-Go, Lunch Box and Gourmet. On-the-Go features quick yet filling snacks and dishes like Pan de Embutido, Quezo de Pan de Ham, and Pork Tonkatsu with Egg, all for only P50.

The Lunch Box line includes meals like Barbecue and Sisig, which range from P75 to P100. Gourmet, on the other hand, boasts of special and satisfying dishes like Honey Glazed and Cheesy Beef Stew. These choices range from P175 to P200. The gourmet offerings were crafted by renowned Kapampangan culinary expert Chef Sau Del Rosario.

“I believe that the inception of Robbie’s is very timely because there’s really a need for food vendo machine service here in the Philippines, especially here in Clark where we have a lot of BPOs. This new dining concept saves a lot of time, is very convenient and efficient,” Chef Sau Del Rosario said.

“Designing the menu for Robbie’s is a lot of fun. But frankly, it took me a while to come up with the meals, because I really wanted to curate the best of Robbie’s and for its customers. In total, I have developed six unique items for the gourmet menu. This collection of dishes are very personal to me because this is a collection of my travels in France, Thailand, Shanghai, Singapore, and Malaysia,” he added.

Moreover, foodies can expect more of Robbie’s Deli in a Hurry as the Philippine’s first ‘Food from the Wall’ is set to open three more branches in the country within the year.
