EMMANUEL “Pacman” “People Champ” “Manny” Pacquiao “Pambansang Kamao”. The one of the popular boxers of all time in the boxing history around the world. The Filipino pride that make us all proud in every fight he encountered whether he won or lost. Also the one of the reason why we are all proud to be a Filipino every time we talked about him.
For me, he’s a hero of our modern world, his achievement are all the result of his hard work and real blood sweat. Started as nothing and ended to be somebody to look up. He’s one of the people to be a good example, he’s not perfect but wants to achieve something. His life started what we consider as a mess but he used that as an inspiration to strive on what he wants to be and inspires us all through hard work.
Life is not easy for our people champ, he even dropped out of high school due to financial problems. Left their home at the age of 14 to try his luck in boxing which he became successful and earned the respect all over the world. But I’m glad for his extraordinary action since he took the high school equivalency exam to be eligible for college. He even enrolled in several certificate courses in the field he’s now engaged, which is in politics. Even though he achieved and earn a lot due to his boxing profession and for his family, still he works and continuously learning to serve and help our people. He even develop his self to be presentable in politics and studied English.
A modern hero as he make us all Filipino unite at least in one event, his every Fight. Sometimes a hero doesn’t need to sacrifice his life to all the people for the common good. To be an inspiration and a good example of good deeds are already a modern hero. On all the fight of Manny he make us feel the spirit of doing the best in every task, whether it became successful or not.
Even though he encountered various controversies, for me it’s nothing on the good contribution he made for our country. We are all not perfect, we have lots of mistakes along the way as part of the ingredient of life. The important is we must learn, avoid it and listen also to others.
Today, we will witness the big event fight, not only for our “Pambansang Kamao”, but for all of us Filipino. Let’s enjoy and believe that he can make it once again. Win or lost, still he’s the one and only “The Peoples Champ”.
