PB’s ‘cohort’ denies accusations

ALLAN Delos Reyes Jr., who was tagged as one of Bohol Provincial Board Member Nino Rey Boniel’s cohorts, denied the allegations hurled against him.

Delos Reyes, represented by Atty. Inocencio Dela Cerna, said that he has no involvement in the death of Bien Unido Mayor Gisela Bendong-Boniel.

“I don’t have knowledge about that,” he said.

Delos Reyes said he was with his relatives when the news about Gisela’s death broke.

Dela Cerna said that he and the other lawyers will present documents in court to prove the innocence of their clients.

“We have time in and time out records, which our clients provided to inform the public that during the time of the crime, they were not there at the scene,” he said.

The lawyer said they were given 10 days to submit their counter-affidavits.

Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Noli Taliño, for their part, said they are ready if the lawyer of two of Nino Rey’s alleged cohorts will file contempt cases against them.

Taliño argued that the murder case of Wilson Hoylar and Restituto Maguncia was elevated in the Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 57 even before their habeas corpus petition was granted.

“We will not let them go because that is the advice of our legal counsel,” he said. (JOB)
