IT was in 1992 when Miss Cebu Tourism 1986 Jennifer Wee walked down the aisle of the Sacred Heart Parish Church to keep her altar date with lawyer/ CPA Philip Tan. The young couple made their home in Tangub City in Misamis Occidental and in due time became the city’s well-loved community leaders. Twenty-five years later Tangub City Mayor Philip Tan and Dr. Jennifer Tan (doctor in Public Administration) came back to Cebu to renew their vows at the very same church.
It was a beautiful afternoon affair which had as principal witnesses some of the country’s political luminaries led by Vice President Ma. Leonor Robredo, and dear friends who have touched their lives. Beaming faces during the ceremony were the silver couple’s children: Maria Sophia Dominique, Yeni Ann Isabella, Audrey Stacy, and only son Jose Louis Miguel. Looking just as happy were the groom’s Mom, Mrs. Victoria Vda. de Jose Tan, and the bride’s Dad Mr. Luis Wee who must have been wishing that his late wife, Dr. Milagros Wee, was with him.
The silver anniversary celebration was a grand cocktail dinner affair at the Mactan Ballroom of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa.
