Boy swimming with classmates drowns

AN eighth grader boy drowned in the seawaters off Barangay Poblacion, Argao last Tuesday afternoon.

Police identified the fatality as Benjamin Parantar, a 15-year-old student of Argao National High School.

He was from Barangay Mabasa and son of a Department of Environment and Natural Resources employee.

The boy possibly suffered cramps before he drowned 20 meters from the shore.

Parantar went swimming with his eight classmates before the incident.

Bantay Dagat personnel rushed the boy to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. (KAL)
