"I LOVE my brother no matter what happened, tapos na yun." says Claudine Barretto referring to her posts in her Instagram account.
To recall, four years ago, Claudine had a feud with her brother Jay-Jay and sister Michelle "Mitchie" Barretto.
Last July 5, both Claudine and brother Jay-Jay posted their photos taken at a classy restaurant. Together with them was their mom Estrella "Inday" Barretto. Claudine captioned their picture with....
“@jjbarretto with my Mom, mommy Mich & Brother JJ... I can live without a boyfriend, husband but I can't live without JJ. I luv him too much.”
On the other hand, Jay-Jay captioned the photos in his social media account with... “Bonding at dinner date with my two sisters.”
Most of Claudine's followers, were happy with the turn of events in the life of the actress. Claudine has other 6 siblings namely: Mito, Michelle, Jay-Jay, Gia, Gretchen, Marjorie.
The feud between the Barretto sisters is no longer new in showbiz. However, the worst fight they had was in 2013. That time Mito, Jay-Jay, Michelle, and Marjorie was on Gretchen's side. Claudine had her sister Gia and both parents.
A source told us what really transpired in the past between the Barretto sisters.
"Actually nuong April 22, 2013, lumabas ang open letter ni Inday laban kay Gretchen sa kolum ni Ricky Lo sa The Philippine Star, kung saan sinabi nitong sinungaling ang kanyang pang-limang anak. Nag-ugat ang sulat ng Barretto matriarch sa pagpanig nina Gretchen at Jay-Jay, kasama si Marjorie, sa estranged husband ni Claudine na si Raymart Santiago. Kasagsagan naman ito nungg court battle nina Claudine at Raymart, at tila nasaktan nang husto si Claudine sa ginawa ng mga kapatid. Inakusahan pa nga noon ni Gretchen na adik ang kanilang bunsong kapatid at nais daw nila itong ipasok sa rehab. Kasunod nun, dinipensahan naman ni Jay-Jay si Gretchen noong April 24. Sinabi niyang kasinungalingan ang sinabi ng ina laban sa kapatid. Si Gretchen daw ang tumulong sa kanilang pamilya noong pumasok ito sa showbiz. Dagdag pa nga noon ni Jay-Jay, hindi nagbanta si Gretchen na ipadadampot si Claudine upang puwersahang ipasok sa rehab. Tapos nung April 26, si Gia naman ang nagpadala ng sulat kay Gretchen, sa pamamagitan pa rin ni Ricky Lo. Sinabi niyang labis silang nasaktan sa mga salita ni Gretchen, na kung ilarawan niya ay “vicious, below the belt, and so evil. Ayon pa kay Gia, si Claudine ang tumulong sa kanilang pamilya at hindi si Gretchen. Sa huli, sinabi pa ni Gia, ‘I echo mom’s words. Stop it.’ We get it. We know you don’t want us so please hear us now... ’We do not want you, too.’ Please stop hounding us like an attack dog. We will admit defeat if you just leave us in peace. Just totally disappear from our lives without leaving a trail of vile and misery. Please. Enough is enough! Leave us alone. Leave my family alone.”
Now that the Barrettos are okay, it's about time to move on. Well, as they say, all's well that ends well.
