A MAN died after his motorcycle collided with a taxi at Circumferential Road, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 26.
Police identified the fatality as Milko Broce, 25, of Locsin Street, San Carlos City.
Broce was on his way home around 4:30 p.m. when his Rusi motorcycle crashed into the taxi driven by Stephen Rey Sayson.
Chief Inspector Ruel Culanag, chief of Police Station 3, said Broce was overspeeding and went into the opposite lane where Sayson was driving.
Sayson, 41, driver of Love Cab taxi, and resident of Talisay City, tried to avoid collision, but could not maneuver out of the way in time, Culanag said.
Broce, who was thrown off from his motorcycle, sustained serious head injuries. He was declared dead at the Corazon Locsin Montlibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Sayson voluntarily surrendered and was released around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after the lapse of the reglementary period for the filing of charges. (MAP)
