Lightning kills mother, hurts 2 others

A 77-year-old mother died, while two of her sons sustained injuries after they were reportedly struck by lightning in Kinatarcan Island, Sta. Fe town yesterday morning.

PO1 Albert Jimenez of the Sta. Fe Police Station identified the fatality as Marina Necessario.

Her injured sons, Rolly, 38, and Ranel, 34, were treated in the hospital.

Sta. Fe Mayor Jose Esgana said that the three were hit by lightning while they were maneuvering their banca to dock in a pier in Barangay Pooc.

Rolly suffered wounds in the ear, cheek and left arm, while Ranel complained of dizziness. (JOB)
