Call center agent found dead in Pulangbato

A CALL center agent was found dead with her head smashed apparently with a rock in a private lot in Barangay Pulangbato yesterday morning.

Police identified the woman as Aireen Adolfo, 24, from Sitio Dita in Pulangbato.
Investigators said Adolfo left home at 6 p.m. last Sunday to buy food. She was seen carrying a bag with a wallet and an ATM card, an expensive iPhone and makeup items inside.

She was then seen taking a habal-habal ride. Her body was found early morning yesterday.

Her mother identified her through her clothes and a scar from an operation.

Police are looking at a robbery with homicide angle in the case.

The victim reportedly received money from a sibling abroad.

Talamban Police chief, Senior Insp. Arieza Otida, said the victim’s face had been smashed. She also had bruises, which would indicate that she struggled with her attacker.

“She had bruises on her legs and we are not ruling out the possibility that the attacker attempted to rape her but the victim fought back. Her shorts was also intact,” Otida said.

A bloodied rock believed to be the one used in the crime and empty bottles of liquor were found beside her body in the area where she was discovered by a child at 6:30 a.m.

Otida described the victim as 5’5” tall. She was wearing a printed shirt with blue cotton shorts.

“She’s already stiff by the time the police got there. She’d probably been left there for two to three hours after she was killed in the wee hours of dawn,” Otida said.

Otida said the place where the girl was found was quiet and dark at night because there are no lights.

“Residents in the area said this is where teenagers from other places come to drink. The houses are really far from each other,” the Talamban police chief said.

“Even if one shouts, he or she won’t be heard because the area is far from the main road,” Otida said. The chief said they are not discounting the possibility that two or more attackers are behind the woman’s death. (JOB)
