Capitol gets 14.83% increase in revenue

BASED on data from the Cebu Provincial Treasurer’s Office , the Province’s revenues for the first six months this year are 14.83 percent higher than in the same period last year.

Cebu Provincial Treasurer Emmanuel Guial said that Capitol collected P1,799,448,883.47 from January to June this year. Last year, it earned P1,567,027,802.24 for the the same period.

The bulk of the revenues come from the 16 district hospitals in the province at P1,543,982.86, Guial said. “It’s because the 16 hospitals are earning well.

Although they are not that sufficient to have the expenses, they are the biggest earner,” he said Taxes from real properties recorded at P56,302,746.81 and the third is the franchise tax at P17,859, 217.26.
