Cops rescue 97 minors for curfew in Lapu

AT least 97 minors were rescued by the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) after they were seen loitering on the streets during wee hours last Wednesday.

In coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office, the LCPO implemented the City Ordinance 179-2009 or the Curfew Ordinance for Minors.

The curfew for minors starts from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Senior Supt. Rommel Cabagnot, LCPO director, said that the operation last Wednesday was part of their “One-Time, Big-Time” anti-criminality campaign.

Parents of the children were called to fetch them. (FMG)
