Australian BPO firm expands operations in Clark Freeport

CLARK FREEPORT -- An Australian business process outsourcing company has expanded its operations inside the Freeport.

Beepo, an Australian-owned BPO firm, stated that it has found Clark to be a strategic location for recruiting highly skilled individuals that suit the requirements of clients.

Beepo employees have increased from 15 in April 2014 to 160 as of May 2015 representing a 967 percent increase.

Aimee Engelmann, chief executive officer of Beepo said their company's business growth is a testament to the "amazing talent" available in the region.

The company, which has been operating in the Freeport for a year, recently transferred its operations to a new building along the M.A. Roxas Highway near Philexcel Industrial Estate.

Engelmann said the expansion of the firm was due to various advantages of Clark for investments.

"We chose Clark for a number of reasons --- the streamlined incorporation process, great facilities both commercial and leisure, and ease of travel," she said.

The Beepo executive also said that the convenience of airport, hotels and offices all within minutes is brilliant and companies in this economic hub enjoy governmental support such as tax incentives and other privileges.

The Freeport has steadily gained recognition in BPO industry in the past few years.

In 2010, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) was awarded Center of

Excellence in Information and Communications and Technology by

Business Process Association of the Philippines, Commission on Information and Communications Technology and the Department of Trade and Industry.

“Nowadays, there is an increasing number of Australian organizations outsourcing various core and non-core positions to offshore service providers in the Philippines. And while Manila has been the dominant choice for locations, Clark, located an hour north, is quickly becoming the better choice for Aussie business-owners wanting to get away from the overly-congested capital,” the Beepo website stated.

Over a quarter of a million jobs will be sent to the Philippines from

Queensland businesses alone in the next ten years, it added.

“According to outsourcing expert and entrepreneur Scott Linden Jones, about 50,000 jobs will be outsourced to the country this year.”

With progressive support from the Philippine government, the industry has developed close to a $15 billion USD economy, four times higher the amount in 2006, the website added.

Beepo services include graphic design, digital marketing, social media, sales and lead generation, sales support, human resources support, administration and bookkeeping and business start-up among others.
