Pescos wins Sacs Fun Run

RAFAEL Pescos bagged the men’s 16-kilometer title of the St. Alphonsus Catholic School (Sacs) Fun Run at the Lapu-Lapu City Hall grounds yesterday.

Pescos clocked 56 minutes and 57 seconds to outsmart Joseph Emia and Ryan Quiamco. Emia timed 57:18 for second place and Quiamco came in 58:38 for third place.

Michael Largo ruled the men’s open 8K with a time of 28:23, Kim Harold Guiao finished in 28:31 for second place and Robert Daang settled for third with 30:21.

Charrise Encarnacion won the women’s 8K in 36:31, beating Angel Estillore and Mary Joy Castor, who finished in 38:16 and 39:47 to take the runners-up award.

Kenneth Garyando and Irish Delechos were the fastest runners in the men’s and women’s 4K.

Garyando won the men’s class in 15:02 over Albert Godinez, who was only a second behind. Joseph Cortez was third with 15:47.

Delechos clocked 21:53 to dominate the women’s division. The closest pursuers Emily Sasi and Aileen Tenebroso came in 23:46 and 24:57, respectively. (RSC)
