VECO announced there will be power interruptions from today until June 28 to give way to improvements in Cebu and Mandaue cities and the municipalities of Minglanilla, Consolacion and Liloan.
Visayan Electric Co. (Veco) Corporate Communications Manager Theresa Gonzales Sederiosa said there will be power interruption today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in a portion of Sambag 2, Cebu City and a portion of B. Rodriguez Ext., including a portion of Sitio Kawayan.
The power outage is due to the installation of a transformer and stringing of tree wires.
Tomorrow, the power interruption will be in a portion of Barangays Ward 1, Ward 2, Tulay and Calajoan in Minglanilla from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m. because Veco personnel will replace a rotten primary pole in the area.
On Monday, the power outage will be at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Tingub, Mandaue City for the reconstruction of a primary line.
On the same day, the power outage will be in a portion of Camputhaw, Cebu City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the relocation of power posts.
On Tuesday, the brownouts will be in Lahug, Cebu City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Cubacub, Mandaue City and Casili, Consolacion from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and a portion of Banilad, Cebu City; all for the relocation of electric poles.
Bacayan
On Wednesday, a portion of Bacayan, Cebu City, including Phase 1 of Villa Leyson, will have no electricity from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to facilitate the reconstruction of a primary line.
On Thursday, there will be brownouts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a portion of Tabla, Latahan, San Roque and Yati, San Vicente and Sta. Cruz in Liloan; and in Garing and Tilhaong in Consolacion for relocation of electric posts.
On the same day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., power outage will be in Vito, Minglanilla for relocation of poles.
Lahug, Busay
On the same day, power outage will be experienced in Lahug and Busay, Cebu City for the reconstruction of primary lines.
On Friday, June 26, there will be a brownout from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Caretta, Cebu City; from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Banilad, Cebu City and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Tayud, Consolacion for the removal of poles and transformer upgrading.
On June 27, the power outage will be in Camputhaw, Cebu City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a portion of Barangay Banilad from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the relocation of posts.
On Sunday, June 28, the power outage will be in Ermita and Pahina Central, Cebu City for the removal and reinstallation of poles.
