BAGOEÑOS Junel Cantancio and Rogen Lagon, gold and silver medalists, respectively in the just-concluded 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore received cash incentives from City Government of Bago.
The cash gifts were given as provided in the resolution authored by Councilor Donald Alvarez unanimously approved by the members of the Sangguniang Panlunsod during their regular session the other day.
Based on Resolution 15-160, both boxers brought honor and pride to the Bago City and should accordingly be recognized and rewarded.
Likewise, after a thorough deliberation by the members of the City Council, Bago City-born coaches Nonito and Roel Velasco as well as Mitchell Martinez were included in those who will get cash incentives for their achievement.
The resolution, duly signed by Vice Mayor Nicolas Yulo, stated that both Cantancio and Ladon will receive P20,000 each while the coaches get P5,000 each. (HGD)
