BARANGAYS 8 and 19 will try to oust each other when they tangle at 5 p.m. in the semi-finals of 9th Mayor's Cup at Bays Center in Bacolod City.
Bata and Paglaum Village of Mansilingan square off at 6:30 p.m. for the second semis game, the winner of which will dispute the championship at 7 p.m. on Sunday against the survivor of semis Game 1.
The losers will settle for third place at 4:30 p.m., the winner to be awarded at 6 p.m. At half of the championship game will be the awarding of sportsmanship awards.
Players Jolit Librodo of Tangub; Ryan Salga of Barangay 29; Justin Sohot of Pahanocoy; Nathaniel Bombais of Barangay 10; and John Alexander Delearna of Barangay 26 are the individual sportsmanship awardees.
Handumanan, Tangub, Cabug, Taculing and Barangay 35 are the team sportsmanship awardees.
Outstanding referees chosen were Romar Sarabia, Armando Juarez, Jr. and Jimmy Marañon.
Tournament manager Jack Marañon and Aurelio Puentevella, OYSD over-all coordinator, expect a close finish for the top four.
