REGISTRATION is ongoing for the staging of the Sports Tourism Forum 2017 set on July 25 at the Serenade and Granada rooms, Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.
Sports Development Division-City Mayors Office (SDD-CMO) executive program director Cindy Cruz-Enerio, in a phone interview, urged stakeholders to join the forum that will tackle incorporating and developing sports events as tourism products, planning, staging, and managing events, sponsorship marketing strategies and event marketing, evaluating present sports tourism products, interaction with government tourism and sports agency, endorsements from national sports association (NSA) in support of an event and spirit of volunteerism.
"Interested participants may directly register at the SDD-CMO," Enerio said.
Registration is pegged at P1,500 inclusive of one lunch, two snacks, forum kit and certificate.
Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Teo, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William "Butch" Ramirez and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will grace the opening ceremonies of the one-day event.
The 2nd Sports Tourism Awards will also be launched by its founder Charles Lim.
