San Fernando celebrates disability prevention week

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Government of San Fernando on Tuesday, July 18, kicked-off the celebration of the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with a line-up of activities at Heroes Hall here.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) held a meaningful celebration to recognize persons with disabilities (PWDs) of the city.

Themed “Karapatan Pribelehiyo ng may Kapansanan: Isakatuparan at Ipaglaban,” the CSWDO led the distribution of assistant and health benefits to PWDs to uplift their livelihood and participation in the city’s growth and development.

Mayor Edwin Santiago said PWDs are part of the city’s governance and play an important part in propelling to development.

“They are a very important of the city much that they should be given equal attention, privileges and benefits every Fernandino deserves,” Santiago said.
