HEARING care specialist Manila Hearing Aid is no stranger to firsts. When it opened its first clinic in 1976, the company was pioneering in hearing health as the first proper hearing clinic in the country back then.

Currently, Manila Hearing Aid has a total of 13 clinics—the SM City Cebu branch being the only one outside Luzon.

Now, the company celebrates another first. Opened in 2003, the SM City Cebu clinic becomes the first Certified Pediatric Hearing Center in the country. With this newly acquired certification, the clinic now specializes in advising, customizing and servicing Phonak hearing aids and wireless communication devices for children.

To get this certification, Manila Hearing Aid underwent a series of online and practical assessments.

Last April 16, Kelvin Seah of Phonak personally handed the plaque of certification to the team behind Manila Hearing Aid.

Switzerland-based hearing solutions provider Phonak manufactures one of the most advanced hearing aids for children. With Phonak, Manila Hearing Aid hopes to serve children with hearing problems with only the best equipment and service.

“Although most of our clients are adults, we’ve always had the kids in mind as well,” said Dr. Liza Abaño-Robles, clinic operations head.

From April 16 to 30, Manila Hearing Aid treats customers to great deals such as 60 percent off on selected hearing aids and five percent off on regular items.
