Texas Instrument Clark’s top exporter, employer

CLARK FREEPORT -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) semiconductor firm located here has been recognized as the country’s top exporter and outstanding employer for 2015 by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza).

For three consecutive years, TI received the Billionaires Award, which gives citation to companies that export goods or services worth US$2.5 billion in one year.

The firm also received the Outstanding Employer Award, which is presented to firms that have generated jobs and held high regard to the welfare of its workers.

“We greatly appreciate the recognition by Peza and the Philippine government,” said Mohammad Yunus, manager director of TI Philippines.

“The Billionaires Award demonstrates our continued commitment to the Philippines’ economic growth but we are particularly proud of the Outstanding Employer Award because we recognize that hiring and developing great people is the foundation of our success,” Yunus added.

Peza is responsible in promoting investments, extending assistance, granting incentives and facilitating the operations of locators inside export-oriented facilities in the country.

TI established its first facility in Baguio City in 1979. It expanded operations by opening its second factory in Clark.
