THE Koronadal FC clinched two titles in separate divisions of the just-concluded 2nd Mayor Topoy’s Football Tournament held at the Montevista Sports Complex in Compostela Valley Province.

Koronadal FC first won the U10 division crown after defeating host Montevista FC in the finals, 1-0. Compostela FC placed third in the U10 division.

The Koronadalbooters then followed it up with another win over Montevista FC this time with a 2-0 shutout to clinch the U13 crown. Trento FC grabbed the third spot.

Maco FC, for its part, clinched the men’s open title after stunning host Montevista FC in their finals game, 3-2. Nabunturan FC settled for third in the men’s open.

Urios University of Butuan, meanwhile, escaped with a 1-0 victory over the Davao Lady Knights to seize the women’s open crown. Maco FC placed third.

Butuan FC also had a share of the limelight after copping the U8 title by routing Montevista FC, 3-0.

But after bowing to their opponents in the finals in three divisions, Montevista FC redeemed itself by seizing the U17 title following a 1-0 win over Nabunturan FC in their titular showdown. Compostela FC settled for third.

The winners received medals and trophies.

The bootfest is organized in collaboration with the local government of Montevista and Montevista FC as part of the 49th Araw ng Montevista celebration.
