2 drug pushers killed in Mandaue drug bust

TWO suspected drug pushers were killed by the police in an alleged shootout in Guizo village, Mandaue City, Cebu, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22.

The fatalities are identified as Junbert Tudtud and Antonio Mala-ay.

Operatives of Mandaue City Police Station 3 conducted a drug bust against the suspects.

When Tudtud and Mala-ay noticed they were dealing with the police, they allegedly opened fire to the team. Operatives retaliated and hit them in different parts of their bodies.

The team brought the suspects to a hospital, where they did not reach alive.

Two small packs of methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as "shabu" were seized from the suspects.

Aside from the contraband, they yielded two .9mm pistols, eight bullets, the marked bill of P200, drug paraphernalia, and cell phone.

A slug and three empty shells were also found in the area.
