3 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Consolacion drug bust

THREE suspected drug pushers were arrested in a drug bust by the operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas in Barangay Pulpogan 1, Consolacion, Cebu, at 3 a.m. Sunday, July 23.

Operatives seized 49 grams of suspected as methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu.”

The contraband has an estimated market value of P245,000.

Leia Albiar, the PDEA-Central Visayas information officer, identified the suspects as Elenita Enanoria, 48; her sister Edisa Torres, 44; and her common-law husband Jesus Gaspan, 56.

Aside from allegedly selling shabu, Enanoria and Torres are businesswomen, selling sweet corn in malls.

On Saturday night, July 22, PDEA and police operatives caught Jimmelito Arucay, 42, and Jaime Gumba, 39, in separate drug busts in Tagbilaran City.

The suspects yielded 10 grams of shabu worth P50,250. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
