A 26-YEAR-OLD suspected drug pusher was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in Sitio Guiwanon, Barangay Poblacion, Dalaguete at 1:10 a.m. yesterday.
Police identified the fatality as John Christopher “Bangkong” Ereno, who succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
Investigation showed that the victim came from his neighbor’s wake. He was attacked while he was on his way home.
Ereno surrendered during the Oplan Tokhang last Dec. 8. Investigators are looking into the possibility that the murder was drug-related. (KAL)
