DILI na mahinayon ang Davao Coastline and Development Project gumikan sa daghang mga rason.
Usa na niini ang pagtan-aw sa sitwasyon sa katawhan ugaling mahitabo ang dakong rehabilitasyon.
Sa opisyal nga pamahayag ni Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, gipasabot niini ang wa paghinayon sa proyekto sa Joint Venture Agreement sa dakbayan ug Mega Harbour.
"On July 19, 2017, we communicated to Mega Harbour Port and Development Corporation our decision not to proceed with the Davao Coastline and Development Project," pamahayag sa mayor.
Ang desisyon sa mayor migula human sa mokabat usa ka tuig nga pag-review ug pagtuon sa gibug-aton sa intensyon sa proyekto.
"The decision came after about more than a year of careful review and study of the available documents and after weighing out the intentions of the project against its commercial viability, legal and social implications, and the project’s possible effects to the environment," ingon sa mayor.
Dugang pa nga ang pagtapos sa joint venture agreement inubanan kini sa usa ka determinasyon nga ang dakbayan sa Davao mamahimong moabante ug motubag sa tawag sa ekonomikanhong paglambo pinaagi sa pagpatuman sa highly sustainable projects, sa hisgutanang commercial ug environmental.
"We understand that there are various legal repercussions ancillary to this decision and the Davao City Government is ready to answer them in the proper forum. I assure you, all Davaoenos, that in coming up with this decision, the paramount consideration has been your welfare and the future of Davao City," pagpasabot sa mayor nga andam ang kagamhanan sa pagtubag sa mga pangutana nganong nahitabo niki.
