Unusual mural exhibit at Museo Dabawenyo

AS STORIES of war and chaos claim their presence in today's news, we find it hard to grasp the reality. Others have such presence of mind to act on it appropriately while most wallow in their emotions a bit too much to deal with it poorly.

A group of artists staged a painting exhibit at Museo Dabawenyo reflecting issues we were having a hard time to deal with. Some were personal while some depicts a community problem but all communicate to the viewer the way they should- telling it in a creative manner. A little approachable, more comprehensible.

Rodney Yap along with his colleagues from Ford Academy of the Arts in Davao namely Romeo Dumuk III, Glenn Baga, Nicole Andamon, Dominic Turno, and Lino Velchez contributed to the exhibit which is open for public viewing until July 30.

The exhibit which they regard as unusual follows the theme, The Public becomes uncomfortable.

Several artists from the Philippine Women's College: Peter Amaya, Jeff Bangot, Jerishel Bardoquillo, Michael Bauzon, Reneboy Chona, Davao Ibao, Jun Pamisa, and Rob Tanedo also displayed their crafts in the museum.
