GOVERNMENT authorities have seized P25,000 worth of suspected crystal meth or “shabu” and arrested three persons in a drug bust in Zamboanga del Norte, an official said on Wednesday, July 26.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Kimberley Panulaya, 26, Ruchel Dinawanao, 22, and, John Gretzel Sagaral, 21.

Galvez said they were arrested by joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in an anti-drug operation around 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at a pension house in the village of Biasong, Dipolog City.

She said confiscated from the suspects were four big-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P25,000, prohibited drug paraphernalia and P500 marked money.

She said the suspects were detained as charges are being readied against them. (SunStar Philippines)
