JO worker nabbed in Consolacion drug bust

A JOB order worker was arrested in a drug bust in Purok 6, Barangay Nangka, Consolacion, Cebu, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 4.

Arrested was Aldren Podadera Torrefiel, 38.

Senior Inspector Romeo Caacoy Jr., the town deputy police chief, said the suspect is assigned in the general services office (GSO) of Consolacion Municipal Government.

Torrefiel has been listed as a high-value target.

During the operation, a police officer who acted as the poseur buyer approached Torrefiel outside his house.

After the transaction, Torrefiel noticed he was dealing with the policeman, ran inside his house, and locked the door.

Operatives barged in and arrested him.

Seized from Torrefiel are 11 small packs of white crystals believed to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride). The contraband weighed 0.55 gram and was worth P6,490.

Torrefiel is the second Consolacion GSO worker arrested in the past seven days.

On July 28, police operatives led by Caacoy caught Danilo Eriguero, 55, his wife Thelma, 52, and their four children.
