4 drug suspects slain in Central Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga - Four drug suspects were killed in drug stings in the provinces of Tarlac, Bulacan and Pampanga in the past two days.

Police identified the fatalities as Jhurex Caberos, 34, of Tarlac City; Antonio Alberto, 42, and alias Totpik, both of Barangay Banga 2nd, Plaridel, Bulacan; and Jojo Villegas, 42, of Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Chief Superintendent Aaron Aquino, Police Regional OfficeIII director, said the four slain drugs suspects engaged authorities in gunfights after they noticed that they were dealing with lawmen.

Recovered from the crime scene were four .38 caliber revolvers, 11 spent shells from .9mm caliber pistol, several sachets of shabu and marked money used in the buy-bust operations.

Aquino said the suspects were newly identified drug personalities. (Ric Sapnu)
