COMEDIAN Sef Cadayona finally breaks his silence on rumors of his supposed romance with Maine Mendoza.

In a series of Twitter posts, the Kapuso star clarified that he's not dating Mendoza and that they are just good friends.

"Maine and I are friends. Hindi kami nagda-date. Tapos," he wrote.

Cadayona also brushed off speculations that he's seeing Mendoza behind the camera.

Without mentioning any write-up about him and Mendoza, the comedian said it was unfair on his part to be bashed and treated negatively based on speculations that circulate on the Internet.

"Whatever you think of us na sobra sa paka malisyoso is not true. Come on. Again wala akong sinabi na ganyan," he said.

"Hindi po kami nagkikita. Sa kahit na ano pa. Kasi walang ganyan na nangyayari," he added.

He added that it's inconsiderate of some people to drag his family into the malicious rumors against him and Mendoza when they've done nothing.

Cadayona requests the public to "stop the hate".

"This is (the) time that I have to speak up. Kasi seriously, sobra na. Pati family ko pa dinadamay niyo sana ako na lang," he said.

"Wala din lumalabas sa bibig ko na ganyan. Stop the hate. You are just putting hate on me and on the other person. Na hindi tama."

Rumors linking Cadayona and Mendoza started as early as fourth quarter of last year. The former received many hate messages since the latter is very much paired with actor Alden Richards.
