Negrense on FBI watchlist facing more raps

A FORMER call center agent who is under the watchlist of US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is facing charges for illegal drugs.

Senior Police Officer 1 Joshua Barile said the police will file with the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office today charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Locsin.

Barile was the team leader of Regional Intelligence Unit-6 that raided the rented house of suspect Peter Alexie Locsin at his rented house in Doña Juliana Subdivision in Barangay Taculing.

Locsin, 34, who was arrested last week in Bacolod, was earlier charged for violation of RA 10591 for illegal possession of firearms.

Locsin’s companions Chito Garrido, 31, James Mathews Alunan, 27, Richard Talde, 22, and Paul de la Peña, 31, who were also arrested in the raid, were released Saturday after the lapse of the 36-hour reglementary period.

However, they are still facing complaints for violation of RA 9165 which will be filed Monday, Barile said.

He said Locsin and his companions underwent drug tests at the Police Regional Office-6 in Iloilo City because the chemist of Negros Occidental Police Office was not available last week.

The drug test result will be released Monday, June 22. Barile added.

Locsin, who is now in custodial debriefing of RIU-6, was under the watchlist of FBI for the bank and wire fraud. He grew up in the United States.(MAP)
