‘Stubborn’ drug pushers warned anew

ANGELES CITY --- Suspected drug pushers who surrendered to authorities during the implementation of Oplan Tokhang (knock and plead) last year were warned to stop from selling illegal substance.

Officials of Barangay Balibago and the Angeles Police Station 4 invited some of the drug personalities who are still into the illegal drugs trade despite the stringent drive of the Duterte Administration.

Balibago Chairman Rodelio Mamac said that the national government is serious in its drive against the drug menace.

“After validation and confirmation, I summoned them in my office about their continuous involvement in illegal drugs. They were previously subjected to Oplan Tokhang by joint PNP and BPAT/Badac and several summons but still ignored the program of the national government to weed out illegal drugs trade,” Mamac said.

The barangay leader said he wants to see the suspects in jail alive rather than inside a coffin dead.

“We want to help them and their families,” Mamac said.

With all humility, Mamac said he asked the suspects to stop patronizing illegal drugs explaining to them its consequences.

“I have exerted all my efforts to save them from this menace and if they still continue, the long arms of the law will be after them and the result may be fatal,” Mamac said.
