2 ‘big-time’ drug personalities ‘godfathers’ of slain suspect

OZAMIZ City Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog and suspected drug lord Franz Sabalones served as godfathers during slain alleged drug personality Manolito Sencil’s wedding.

Based on this information, Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director Jose Espino said they are checking Sencil’s link to the Ozamiz drug group.

“Since illegal drugs is a business, kung saan ka makakakuha ng (where you can get the) drugs is already considered a link. With the neutralization of Sencil, one way or another we have curtailed yung (the) supply route kung saan nila kinukuha (from its source),” Espino said.

“Based on the report, kumpare ni Ardot si Sabalones,” Espino said.

In an earlier interview, Atty. Louie Arma, Sabalones’s counsel, said his client had given up the drug trade.

Meanwhile, Espino said that they will not let their guard down even though Sencil is dead.

Councilor Parojinog was not home when authorities searched his residence during a bloody simultaneous serving of warrants, which killed 15, including his brother, Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., and the latter’s wife.

Last Thursday, the Regional Special Operations Group 7 and the Special Action Force raided Sencil’s house in Sitio Mansueto, Tabunok, Talisay City.

Sencil resisted arrest, which resulted in the fatal shootout.

He was considered a high-value who operated in Cebu and other provinces. He reportedly got his supply of shabu from Ozamiz City.

According to intelligence reports, Sencil started dealing with the Parojinogs and Sabalones last year.

“We don’t know how far pa yung connection nilia before 2016,” Espenio had said.

Sencil was a friend of Joavan Fernandez, son of Talisay City councilor and former mayor Socrates Fernandez.

Sencil and his cohort Romy Ramas had been arrested for helping Joavan shoot a car shop watcher in 2013.
