Sunshine Cruz speaks up on Cesar-Sandra romance

"EVERYBODY deserves to be happy."

This was Sunshine Cruz's response when the actress was recently asked on her reaction to rumors that her estranged husband, actor Cesar Montano, is now in a relationship with former beauty queen Sandra Seifert.

“Bilang mga artista naman kami, hindi maiiwasan na mapagusapan. Ano naman, wala akong masamang tinapay kahit kanino,” Cruz said in an interview at the PEP List Year 2 awards night last week.

She added: "We’ve been separated for two years. Hindi man sa papel kasi hindi pa naman legal na hiwalay kami, but I believe that everybody deserves to be happy. And if he’s happy, good for him,"

But when asked on speculations that Seifert is pregnant with Montano's baby, Cruz said she would rather not comment on the issue.

"I don’t think I deserve to know anything about him and vice versa," she said.

As for their children, the actress shared that it was her three daughters, Angelina Isabelle, Samantha Angeline and Angel Francheska, who told her of rumors that they are going to have a sibling.

Cruz's kids learned about the issue on image-sharing application Instagram.

"Ang reaction lang ng mga anak ko, ‘Mom, we’re gonna have siblings na naman pala ulit?’ And sabi ko, no, no naman. I’m always there to tell them kung sino man yan, kung ano man yang lumabas, blessing yan and wala naman silang kasalanan sa kung ano ang nangyayari kasi hindi naman ang mga girls na ito ang cause ng separation namin ng tatay nila. (I tell them) huwag kayo mag-ipon ng sama ng loob or ng tampo," she said.

Cruz said that as a mom, she never teach her children to hold grudges against their father.

"Bilang nanay, tuturuan mo bang magalit sa mundo ang anak mo? I don’t think they deserve that," she said.

The 37-year-old said her main focus now is her kids and to provide a better life for their family.

"I am happy. I have my three kids. So, yun lang, the best na yun. I think alam mo lang dapat ang prioridad mo sa buhay. Like the kids, they’re growing up so fast and they need my guidance," she said.

"Andami pang controversies, so kung pwede munang isa-isa, one at a time na lang muna. Okay naman kami. Even the kids are well-adjusted. We’re okay. We’re better. Me and kids are okay," Cruz added. (Sunnex)
