IS BAGUIO City and Benguet Province ready to host the 2018 Palarong Pambansa? The answer is a big fat "YES"!
In Thursday's press briefing at the city's multi-purpose hall, there are 10 convincing reasons why we are ready to host next year’s coolest Palaro.
The first is we have the coolest destination. It will be the first time for players to experience sports tourism at its best.
Baguio and Benguet is home to world champions and intentional stars. The experience of a rich heritage and urban scene. This is the place which cradled world renowned events. It will have an athlete friendly billeting area. Coupled with first rate medical services for the athletes and officials, it is also the educational hub of the north, aside from a steadfast solidarity of the Cordilleran's.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan points out our reliance on the strength of the officials from Baguio and Benguet who have the collective decisiveness to commit our place to athletes from near and far, world class playing venues, assured peace and order, and the experience of undergoing a high altitude sports competition.
There is no question as to how capable Baguio and Benguet can host the coolest Palaro as both places continue to host world class events like the yearly Panagbenga and Strawberry festival.
Our men in uniform in the Cordillera have proven to be the best in maintaining peace and order basing on Baguio City's Top Cop Senior Superintendent Ramil Saculles's assurance.
Case in point, one out of three members of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force are Cordilleran's. They continue to be the most well trained in counter terrorism in the country’s national police. A priority concern for the the bidding coolest Palaro host.
United as it is, various universities and colleges including the Philippine Military Academy have pledged to host various sports competitions coinciding with the coolest Palaro.

Close to fifty thousand warm bodies are expected to join the coolest palaro ever. It is a far cry from the million tourists who flock to Baguio and Benguet during the yearly staging of the Panagbenga.
Wth this at hand, we hope to pass the merits and evaluation of the Palarong Pambansa board, as positively viewed by our education department.
For after all, this is an opportune time to showcase the friendly culture and traditions of Baguio and Benguet to the seventeen regions competing in the much awaited "COOLEST PALARO EVER"!
