7 overstaying police chiefs to relinquish posts

SEVEN police station commanders who have served over two years in their areas will officially relinquish their posts on Friday, August 11, based on a policy issued by the Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula.

The outgoing station commanders are the following: Chief Inspector Salvador Galvez, Police Station 1 (PS1), Chief Inspector Ramon Bautista, Jr., PS2, Chief Inspector Elmer Solon, PS4, Chief Inspector Arlan Delumpines, PS5, Chief Inspector Hingming Ladjaali, PS8, Chief Inspector Karib Muharram, PS9, and Chief Inspector Raymond Sanson, PS10.

Their replacements will be Chief Inspector Joseph Lim, PS1, Senior Inspector Crisanto Yabo, PS2, Chief Inspector Hazel Fernandez, PS4, Superintendent Mark Azur, PS5, Senior Inspector Daniel Taub, PS8, Senior Inspector Albert Alfaro, PS9, and Senior Inspector Alvin Gutierrez, PS10.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the turnover is based on a regulation issued by the Regional Police Command where overstaying commanders are removed from their areas to pave way for the development of new police officers as well.

Salazar described the outgoing police commanders as deserving officers who did a very fine job during their individual tours of duty. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
